We Long Islanders love our dogs. We see our dogs as members of our families. We spend thousands of dollars each year to keep our dogs healthy, pampered and happy. We give our dogs everything we can, and in return they give us unconditional love and acceptance. But sometimes, they also give us a run for our money. Sometimes they challenge our patience. Sometimes they do things that just drive us up the wall. We don’t love them any less for it (afterall they are family) but wouldn’t it be nice if your baby would just stop chewing your socks? Wouldn't it be great if you didn't have to worry about leaving food on the counter? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if you could walk him instead of him walking you? That’s where I come in.
I am the only Bark Buster in the Long Island area. I grew up here, and I know how we love our dogs. I also know how dogs think, and I know and understand how much you want your dog to be happy. I also know that all of these nuisance behaviors are just symptoms of a larger issue. One of the mistakes that we make as dog owners is to see our dogs as furry people. Meanwhile, they see us as hairless dogs. Dogs are social animals, and just as you view your dog as a member of your family, your dog views you as a member of his pack. The problem is that dog packs don’t follow the same rules as human families. They don’t understand how we think, but I understand how they think. If you shift your perception to see your family from your dog’s perspective you will suddenly understand the reason for those nuisance behaviors and then you will be able to manage them. This is what I do.
I am a behavioral therapist. When I come into your home, I can immediately see how your pack operates. I can see who the leader is (often it’s the dog). I can see what your body language is communicating to your dog. I can tell you how your dog perceives you and explain the cause of your problems. We will address your problems at the source. Each family/pack is a very complicated dynamic community. Your family life affects your dog. I look at your family as a whole, and the best part of my job is helping a family find peaceful communication between all members, human and canine. I am a family man, myself. I have 2 young daughters and a very large deaf Catahoula Leopard dog named, Alijah, who we rescued as a puppy. I understand exactly how important it is to have peace in your home. I have worked with all types of family structures over the years, and because I know that each family is unique, I tailor my lessons to your individual needs.
At our core, we are all the same. Yes, we all have different challenges in our lives, but we all love our families, and we all love our dogs. Give me a call and I will design an individualized program that will teach you how to train your dog (and your family.) I’m not going to pretend that it won’t be work. You have to be willing to put the time into training your dog just like you would to potty train your child or teach him to ride a bike. I know you can do it. And if you love your dog like family the way that I love mine, it’s a no brainer. Let me teach you how to train your dog, and improve his life as well as yours.
Don't take my word for it! See what people all over America say about Bark Busters in home dog training. Whatever the problem, I can help - any dog, any age.
